In our last post, we spoke about people removing their regrettable tattoos, now I thought we would look at some people who took the alternate route of a cover up. Even people who really love tattoos can regret them, but happily, it is sometimes possible to cover up an unfavourable tattoo with a shiny new one. Sometimes, the person doesn't necessarily dislike their old tattoo it might have just not aged very well so they need it revamped a bit. Here at MTS we sell tattoo ink by Radiant Colors but we also like looking at all things tattoos, so let's take a look at what people have had done!

Day of the Dead

You will see a lot of these faded old tribal designs being covered up, most people get these as a first tattoo and end up wanting something a bit more detailed later in life. That is exactly what this customer has got it seems, with this beautiful day of the dead woman. Such lovely colours and definitely an improvement on the before!

Shark

Here we have what looks like another aged tribal design with a crude shark underneath it. Well, the shark that has taken its place is definitely a revamp! This person has replaced their old tattoo with a beautiful ocean scene and the artist has done a fantastic job of removing any trace of the old tattoo, but the design still gives a little nod to what is underneath.

Skull and Anvil

This man has had what appears to be a wolf howling at the full moon replaced with a crisp design of a skull underlined with a hammer and anvil. He has covered up his old design with a completely new one and I have to say it is a vast improvement! The detail in the cover up is incredible whereas the old one is a little indistinguishable.

Pheonix

This woman has had a small Pheonix covered with a much larger and more detailed one. I think that these kinds of cover-ups are nice because you can see that the person doesn't necessarily regret their old tattoo, they just wanted an upgrade! This woman has certainly got that with this design!

Peacock

Wow, this woman has gone all out with her cover up, it appears she wanted to cover every tattoo she had on her back! This peacock is beautiful, the colours are amazing and it certainly covered everything up! I can't help but wonder how long this woman sat for this? Back tattoos are very painful so well done her! Well done to the artist too for this result!

A Correction?

I thought I would include this one in here because I found it slightly amusing. "Nathan is nothing on Ryan Wilson" it appears that this woman had an ex's name on her and decided to correct it by adding her current boyfriend's name beneath with a funny line? I am only assuming, but if this is the case I would say that it appears this woman learnt nothing from the first tattoo!

What do you think? Have you had any tattoos covered up? Which was your favourite? Let us know in the comments. Remember if you are a tattoo artist looking for tattoo ink by Radiant Colors then we sell that in our store, so be sure to take a look!

Love Katy...
