Animals are the perfect subject matter for tattoos. Given that scientists believe there are around 8.7 million different species of animals, there are literally endless possibilities when it comes to choosing your preferred tattoo design. Our sponsored artist Alan Hindes who works from Tatt House in Belfast excels at creating realistic animal tattoos, particularly in black and grey, so today we wanted to take a look at some of the incredible animal-themed tattoos he has made recently. With a wealth of awards under his belt from various tattoo conventions, Alan is really killing it in the tattoo industry at the moment, and we love seeing the brilliant work he produces week in and week out.

A tiger and his cub. We love the piercing eyes in both of these ferocious cats.

This is a phenomenal piece by Alan, and probably one of our recent favourites. A stunning leopard tattoo.

King of the jungle - the lion. The yellow eyes really stand out here.

Another strong and ferocious animal, a beautiful wolf howling in the moonlight.

Those are some really sharp teeth! An excellent alligator tattoo created recently by Alan.
